We’re a Tampa-based outfit that specializes in offshore and deep sea charters targeting big fish in real water.
Founded by Capt. Rob Hahn, a certified Master Diver and lifelong waterman, Barotrauma Charters was born from firsthand experience both above and below the surface. Rob’s spent years diving the same wrecks, reefs, and ledges we now fish, giving him an edge most captains just don’t have.
He’s seen the way fish behave in their natural habitat—and he uses that knowledge every single day to put clients on the bite. That’s what sets us apart.

Why “Barotrauma”?
It’s a funny name for a serious condition—and that’s exactly the point.
Barotrauma is what happens when you bring a fish up too fast from deep water. Their eyes bug out, their stomach inflates, and things get weird real quick.
We figured it was the perfect mascot for the kind of chaotic, high-energy offshore action we live for.
