At Barotrauma Charters, offshore is where we live—and if you’re chasing the biggest, baddest fish Tampa Bay has to offer, this is your ride.

We’re not running a sightseeing tour. We’re dropping baits 40 to 100+ feet onto wrecks, reefs, and ledges that hold fish with serious fight in them.

You’re going to feel it when they hit. You’re going to remember it when you win.

What We Target Offshore

Grouper – Gag and red grouper are the wreck kings. They hit like a train and dive for cover fast. If you’re not ready, you’re donating tackle.
Snapper – Mangroves, lanes, and (when in season) red snapper. These fish stack deep and crush baits when the bite turns on.
Cobia – Curious, strong, and sometimes pop up right at the boat. If they show up, it gets real—fast.
King Mackerel – Long, blistering runs and violent surface strikes. Spring and fall are prime.
Bonus Round – Expect a few surprise guests like triggerfish, sheepshead, porgies, grunts, and even the occasional shark. Offshore Tampa Bay holds plenty.

What to Expect on an Offshore Charter

6-Hour Trip: $950

8-Hour Trip: $1150

Both trips include up to 4 anglers. Additional anglers $75/each with a max of 6.

We launch from multiple ramps around Tampa Bay, based on weather and what’s biting. Once we get outside the nearshore edge—7 to 30 miles out—we hit productive bottom and get to work.

You’ll be fishing over:

Natural ledges
Artificial reefs
Wrecks and hard bottom
Bait stacks that trigger predators

Expect to drop down to 40–100+ feet using cut bait, live bait, and jigs depending on the target. It’s hands-on fishing from start to finish—no trolling nap time here.
